Manual Machinist - MRO

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Manual Machinist will be responsible for the following:

  • Read and interpret work orders;
  • Identify the machining operations required;
  • Set up and adjust equipment according to the requirements of the parts to be machined;
  • Operate conventional machinery used to cut and bend metal, following engineering drawings and specifications;
  • Perform deburring of parts when production workload permits;
  • Adhere to cycle times and set-up times indicated on the work order, or explain any variances;
  • Record actual time worked on the work order;
  • Ensure quality standards are met;
  • Promptly notify the supervisor of any major issues or problems;
  • Identify opportunities to improve work methods;
  • Maintain the machinery being operated and keep the work area clean and safe;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Desired Profile

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Machining, Machine Tool Technology, or Tooling;
  • Aerospace experience, as the position requires working directly on aircraft (A220 and A330).
