Aircraft Painter

Under the supervision of the Manufacturing and Maintenance Manager or the Structures Supervisor, the Aircraft Painter's primary responsibilities include:

  • Paint interior and/or exterior aircraft components and other parts in accordance with approved standards;
  • Prepare parts prior to painting following established procedures and standards;
  • Follow the drying and curing process for painted parts according to specifications;
  • Inspect painted parts to ensure they meet quality standards;
  • Upon request from the supervisor, provide estimates of the time required to complete assigned work;
  • Ensure that all material requests related to assigned tasks are submitted as needed;
  • Work closely with other departments and supervisors to meet established deadlines;
  • Maintain inventory and quarantine expired materials when required;
  • Ensure that all technical references and documentation are current and available for the work being performed;
  • Complete and manage all required documentation in accordance with established procedures;
  • Assist assemblers and operators with their tasks as required;
  • Maintain work equipment in good working condition and keep it clean;
  • Keep the work area clean and organized at all times;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Schedules

Day Shift

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Evening Shift

  • Monday to Friday: 2:45 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.

Weekend Shift

  • Friday to Sunday: 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Industrial Painting or Building Painting;
  • Experience painting metal surfaces, particularly aluminum.
