Location: Avianor – Mirabel (On-site)
Salary: $25 to $40 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
About the Role
At Avianor, the Industrial Mechanic plays a key role in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of equipment, tooling, and certain site infrastructure at our Mirabel facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on equipment and tooling (lathe, milling machine, waterjet cutting machine, etc.)
- Diagnose equipment failures and order the required replacement parts
- Respond to internal maintenance requests
- Conduct building inspections and perform certain building repairs
- Support the preparation and execution of special projects
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing for most of the workday, walking regularly, lifting loads ranging from 5 lbs to more than 15 lbs, and occasionally working in physically demanding or awkward positions.
Qualifications
- Possess a toolbox with basic hand tools (power and pneumatic tools provided by the employer)
- DEP (Vocational Diploma) in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or Stationary Engine Mechanics
