National Account Manager – CPG (Remote, Ontario-Based)

Position summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of National Accounts to lead and expand Café William’s retail footprint in Ontario and across Canada. This role is perfect for a senior sales leader with deep CPG experience, strong relationships across Canada’s Top Retailers, and the capability to drive both strategy and execution.
This individual will be responsible for developing national retail strategies, managing key customer relationships, guiding brokers, and contributing to Café William’s overall commercial success.
Key responsibilities
- Own and lead relationships with key national and regional retailers, with a focus on growth in Ontario and expansion across Canada;
- Develop and execute strategic customer plans to drive sales, grow share, and improve brand visibility;
- Lead category reviews, business planning, pricing, and promotional strategies;
- Leverage NielsenIQ, internal sales data, and retailer portals to provide actionable insights and track performance;
- Partner with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment on business goals and execution timelines;
- Stay on top of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to guide customer strategy;
- Deliver accurate sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting;
- Represent Café William in key customer meetings, industry events, and national trade shows.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in national account management within the CPG industry;
- Strong, established relationships with Canada’s top retailers;
- Experience managing strategic accounts at a senior level, including annual negotiations and joint business planning;
- Skilled in using NielsenIQ and retail portals for strategic planning and performance tracking;
- Experience leading and managing broker networks;
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills;
- Bilingual (English/French) is a strong asset;
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach; thrives in a remote, high-growth environment;
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related discipline.
