The impact of your contribution
Champlain St. Lawrence College is currently seeking candidates to fill temporary and casual (on-call) contracts for the 2026-2027 academic year for the position of Exam Proctor for Special Needs Services (non-unionized).
What you'll conquer every day
- Comply with the instructions given by the Special Education Technician and the Professional respondent in Adapted Services;
- Attend a mandatory training session on the Student Access Centre (Online exam module);
- Greet the students, the teachers, and others; respond to their requests and direct them to the appropriate resource person;
- Identify the students according to the exam schedule, assist with the control of absences and tardiness, provide instructions to students with special needs before the exam, and ensure their compliance with the instructions during the exam;
- Verify that all documents brought to the exam room are required and authorized, ensure that the correct copy of the exam is given to the student, and report any discrepancy to the guidelines to the Special Education Technician or the Professional respondent in Adapted Services;
- Ensure proper supervision during the taking of examinations by students;
- Enter the data provided by the personnel of Adapted Services, perform compilations, and scan documents with the use of a computer;
- Maintain a clean exam room at all times.
What makes you the one
- Must hold a High School diploma and/or have relevant work experience.
- Have a good knowledge of written and spoken English;
- Have good computer skills;
- Be available and flexible, especially between September and November, and between January and April;
- Possess social skills to greet and accommodate students with disabilities (special needs);
- Must be punctual, follow instructions and be respectful of people;
- Have skills in office work and customer service experience.
