JOB DESCRIPTION
The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course OBSERVATION TECHNIQUES (351-115-LA).
In this course, students will learn to gather meaningful information about their clientele through appropriate observation methods.
This involves observing the clients themselves, as well as their families and any other groups they may belong to.
They will identify key details and choose suitable techniques and tools for effective observation.
Students will also learn to select the right contexts for observation to ensure accurate and relevant data collection.
By the end of the course, students will be proficient in gathering and analyzing information, which is essential for supporting individuals in educational and social settings.
This course emphasizes practical skills and thoughtful decision-making to prepare students for real-world applications in Special Education Techniques.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience.
Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.
Experience working with diverse client groups in the special care counselling field is an asset.
This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

(Oct. 7 & 14; November 4 & 25; December 9 & 16 ONLY )
All classes are given in-person from the college campus.
The hired instructor must have the ability to teach a course online/at a distance, should the need exceptionally arise.
The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program.
The program start could be delayed or cancelled due to insufficient registration.
COMMENTS
This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
