JOB DESCRIPTION
The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course CYBER THREAT AND RISK ANALYSIS (420-B02-LA).
This course enables students to better understand cybersecurity issues and to prioritize activities based on the cyber threats and risks faced by an organization.
In a realistic context, students will learn how to identify and assess the importance of cyber threats and how to quantify risk, based on an assessment of the probability and impact of exploiting risk factors.
Several key concepts acquired in this course will be reused in other courses:
▪ Cyber threat analysis is used to guide surveillance activities and to prioritize cyber defense activities;
▪ The risk analysis is also used to prioritize cyber defense activities, as well as the incident response plan;
▪ The results of intrusion tests, compliance assessment and vulnerability assessment will also be subjected to a risk analysis to determine an appropriate course of action.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have thorough knowledge of cybersecurity threats and risk analysis.
Must have a master's degree in computer science or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, or a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field. Experience teaching an adult clientele is an asset.
Proficiency in English is required.

Thursdays
6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
(EXCEPT: December 24 & 31)
Saturdays
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
(EXCEPT: December 26; January 2, 16 & 30)
All classes will be delivered online/at distance.
The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online.
The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program.
COMMENTS
This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
