The organization must not only maximize the value of the Synapse Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), but also coordinate major projects such as the deployment of a new Radiology Information System (RIS) and its complementary modules, while facilitating the integration of its solutions with existing information systems in the healthcare network.

Job Description

Summary

To support its expanding project portfolio, the organization is seeking a Technical Support Specialist responsible for assisting our customer base with questions and issues related to our products, which include storage systems, software, and specialized healthcare servers.
The incumbent will focus on IT infrastructure and its impact on the client’s business and will be actively involved in troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Under the supervision of the Technical Support Coordinator, the technician will carry out IT upgrade projects and integrate new technologies into our healthcare clients’ technical environments. The main objective will be to successfully implement technological projects within a project-based structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer service calls:

    • Provide technical support to clients and resolve issues as they arise

  • Implement and support systems and/or software for clients

    • Participate in the proactive monitoring of systems, alerts, and related tools

  • Document procedures applied for clients

  • Keep technical IT knowledge up to date

  • Demonstrate the ability to handle stressful situations

  • Be available to work outside of regular business hours

    • Participate in the on-call rotation

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • College or vocational diploma in a field related to IT, computer engineering, or biomedical engineering

  • Solid general knowledge of IT

  • Experience in healthcare IT is an asset

  • Experience in drafting technical and technological documentation

Technical Knowledge

  • Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation environments

  • Virtual desktop solutions and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS)

  • Knowledge of commercial vendor solutions is an asset (e.g., HP, NetApp)

  • Excellent spoken and written French and English
