Job description

Summary
As a Field Service Representative based in Edmonton, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service and support for diagnostic imaging equipment. You will work with hospitals and clinics across Alberta and Saskatchewan to help ensure reliable equipment performance, strong customer satisfaction, and service excellence.
This is a field-based role with a service territory covering Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Edmonton Team Lead, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, calibration, and installation of medical imaging diagnostic systems. Strong mechanical aptitude is important in this role to support mechanical installations and field-based service work.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment in hospitals and clinics;
  • Support mechanical installations and equipment setup in the field;
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to planned and unplanned service calls;
  • Complete service documentation, test reports, and related records accurately and on time;
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to deliver a high level of service;
  • Manage assigned projects and service activities efficiently and professionally;
  • Follow Christie Innomed policies, procedures, and service standards;
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support customers outside regular business hours.
 

Job requirements

Qualifications and experience
  • College diploma in electronics, electronics engineering technology, biomedical technology, biomedical engineering technology, or another relevant field;
  • Previous field service or diagnostic imaging experience is an asset, but not required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply;
  • Strong mechanical skills and aptitude, with the ability to support mechanical installations and equipment setup in the field;
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office;
  • Exposure to diagnostic imaging modalities such as radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, MRI, or nuclear medicine is an asset;
  • Knowledge of PACS, RIS, and DICOM is an asset;
  • Ability to maintain accurate service records and documentation;
  • Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

  • Valid driver’s license required;
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan according to operational needs, with the ability to travel to the USA as required.
