Located just minutes from downtown Montreal, LUX Air Services Inc. is a growing company operating a FBO/Fixed-Base Operation at St-Hubert Airport (CYHU). LUX also operates a terminal at Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport (CYQB).
Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. At the beginning, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 and employed two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation has a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.
Role and context
Reporting to their immediate supervisor, our heavy equipment mechanics (diesel) maintain, inspect and repair the mechanical, electrical and electronic components of the company's vehicles.
Key responsibilities
• Investigate the cause of faults and check the operation of machinery for defects and faults
• Determine the nature of defects and failures
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Test the repaired equipment to ensure that it is working properly and that the repairs meet the manufacturer's requirements
• Clean and lubricate equipment and perform other routine maintenance.
Specific job requirements
• DEP in diesel mechanics or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years experience (an asset)
