About Classic Woodwork
At Classic Woodwork, we bring exceptional architectural millwork projects to life. Each project is the result of close collaboration between creative vision and skilled execution.
Our standard is clear: no guesswork, no detail overlooked.
Excellence is built, step by step.
Your role
As a Cabinetmaker Team Lead, you will put your expertise to work both on the shop floor and in supporting your team. You will take an active role in producing custom pieces for high-end spaces while providing coordination, technical guidance, and quality control.
Working closely with the Shop Foreman, you will help keep production running smoothly, ensure work meets drawing specifications, and support the development of your fellow cabinetmakers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Fabrication and Quality
- Fabricate and accurately assemble cabinetry, components, and architectural elements according to shop drawings
- Work with a variety of materials, including solid wood, veneer, metal, glass, and specialty materials
- Prepare pieces for the finishing department
- Check the quality of pieces produced by the team, ensuring compliance with shop drawings and company standards
- Identify and report non-conformities so the necessary corrective action can be taken
Coordination and Production Tracking
- Gather and review cabinetmakers’ technical questions, provide answers within your area of expertise, and follow up with the Shop Foreman as needed
- Communicate key information between the team and the Shop Foreman to keep work moving efficiently
- Record task progress on work orders, along with any non-conformities and challenges encountered
- Review progress and outstanding issues with the Shop Foreman at the end of each day to ensure continuity and follow-through
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement of work methods
Team Support and Development
- Help cabinetmakers resolve technical issues and apply established work methods
- Share your knowledge and support employee onboarding and training
- Participate in technical assessments of candidates and employees in collaboration with the Shop Foreman
- Provide constructive feedback and help team members develop their skills
This remains a hands-on production role: team lead responsibilities are in addition to regular cabinetmaking duties. You will continue working directly on production projects while guiding and supporting your colleagues.
