At Coco Atelier, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of our financial information. You'll help improve our financial processes, support leaders in making informed business decisions, and actively contribute to the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of the company's financial information.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements within established deadlines.
- Complete month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and required financial analyses.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-term growth planning.
- Analyze financial results, explain variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business decision-making.
- Perform profitability analyses by brand, product category, sales channel, or strategic project.
- Monitor costs, margins, and overall financial performance across the business.
- Support cash flow management and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Develop, document, and improve internal controls to strengthen financial governance.
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting, finance, and administrative processes.
- Help optimize financial systems, reporting tools, and ERP processes to improve automation and data quality.
- Prepare year-end audit files and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax filings and government reporting requirements, including GST/HST, QST, payroll remittances, tax slips, and other regulatory obligations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions.
- Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Leadership teams to provide meaningful financial insights that support business decisions.
- Participate in strategic initiatives, including growth projects, process improvements, and special financial analyses.
- Perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses requested by senior leadership.
- Stay current on accounting standards, financial best practices, and internal control developments.
- Perform other related duties that contribute to the sound financial management of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial control.
- Experience in an SME, retail, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and advanced formulas; experience with Power Query is considered an asset.
