The Business Development Representative uses effective communication abilities, technical knowledge, and attention to detail skills to help facilitate company growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Outreach to various organizations to promote DECAST and educate on products
- Attend tradeshows, relevant technical sessions, and industry events
- Arrange and facilitate plant tours
- Engage in continuous learning of concrete technologies, new applications, the construction industry, and DECAST customers
- Travel within Canada approximately 25% of the time to attend tradeshows, industry events, or meet with various professionals
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the precast concrete industry
- A minimum of two (2) years of related product, sales, or technical support experience
- Completion of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) certified institution is preferred
- Valid P. Eng license issued by Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) is preferred, other technical designations may be considered for the correct candidate
- Understanding of the precast concrete industry including production and engineering viewpoints
- Understanding of municipal and industry specifications and standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and management skills
Working at DECAST
- Range of pay for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually
