As an IT Technician Level 1, your primary mandate will be to provide IT support to employees ans custumers. More precisely, you will have to :
- Be the resource person and first point of contact for users experiencing IT issues;
- Provide first-line technical support, helping users resolve issues with hardware, software, and applications;
- Escalate more complex issues to a Level 2 technician for further resolution;
- Ensure the installation and updating of software and computer systems;
- Provide basic advice and training to users to help them make better use of the installed systems and software;
- Create, modify, and delete user accounts in computer systems, as well as manage access rights;
- Perform regular maintenance tasks to prevent problems, such as security updates and performance checks;
- Monitor systems and networks to detect anomalies or potential problems before they become critical;
- Install and configure devices such as computers, cell phones, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment;
- Use remote support tools to diagnose and resolve issues for users who are not on site;
- Document solutions to common problems to assist in training new technicians and improve support efficiency;
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure quick and effective problem resolution;
- Perform all other related duties.
- Hold a vocational diploma or college certificate in computer science ;
- Up to 2 years of experience in a similar position ;
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and VMware environments ;
- Have a strong command of French and English, both spoken and written, in order to communicate with our partners outside Quebec.
- Hold a valid driver’s license, as frequent travel may be required ;
