As an Automation technician, your primary mandate will be to carry out various automation projects and solve problems that hinder our customers' operations. More precisely, you will have to :
- Provide support for the design of automated systems ;
- Program all types of programmable logic controllers, operator interfaces, components, and variable speed drives ;
- Participate, as needed, in pre-operational checks and commissioning (FAT and SAT) at customer sites ;
- Establish diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and improve automated systems ;
- Prepare technical reports ;
- Participate in meetings with customers for project follow-ups ;
- Take readings in the factory ;
- Provide training to customer employees ;
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards ;
- Comply with occupational health and safety guidelines ;
- Perform any other related tasks.
- Hold a college degree in electrical engineering, industrial electronics, or other equivalent training and experience ;
- 3 years of experience in a similar position ;
- Programming of PLCs and operator interfaces ;
- Industrial networking ;
- Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec ;
- Hold a valid driver’s license ;
- Be available and to travel to visit clients ;
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication capabilities ;
- Ability to work in a team ;
