As a Technical Leader – Operational technologies (OT), your primary mandate will be to design, document, and recommend industrial Ethernet network architectures and industrial IT infrastructures tailored to customer needs. More precisely, you will have to :
- Participate in defining technical solutions and play an integral role in project implementation;
- Participate in the drafting of preliminary or functional analyses;
- Design, develop, and build Ethernet-based industrial network architectures;
- Design and develop cybersecurity requirements in accordance with critical infrastructure standards;
- Design, build, and develop server infrastructure and virtualized environments;
- Participate in the technical resources development plan;
- Participate in meetings with clients in order to understand their needs and offer them practical and advantageous solutions;
- Participate in selection meetings, development, cost assessment, and drafting of the functional description of the solution;
- Participate in the development and drafting of the tender;
- Develop good relationships with customers and suppliers during the bidding process;
- Prepare presentations, contribute to proposals and various sales tools with a view to tangibly developing business opportunities;
- Communicate clearly with our customers and suppliers;
- Answering customer calls and questions;
- Monitor technological developments to meet the strategic needs of the company;
- Configure the various selected equipment;
- Perform configuration validation and quality assurance tests;
- Commissioning the architecture and infrastructure at the customer's site;
- Perform all other related duties.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, automated production, or any other relevant field ;
- 10 years in a similar position ;
- Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec Order of Engineers) ;
- Knowledge of basic Ethernet networks, Layer 2 (switching) and Layer 3 (routing), and typical firewall rules ;
- Experience with switches, routers, and firewalls from various manufacturers, including Cisco ;
- Experience with virtualization servers from various manufacturers (an asset) ;
- Knowledge of virtualization systems (e.g., VMware) (an asset) ;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (an asset) ;
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLC and DCS) (an asset) ;
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite ;
- Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec ;
- Hold a valid driver's license ;
