RESPONSABILITIE
In the role of Estimator, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by analyzing and qualifying requests, and preparing accurate project cost estimates. More precisely, you will have to :
- Analyze projects as a whole to properly plan steps and costs;
- Interpret accurately technical specifications in tender documents;
- Participate in sourcing suppliers and subcontractors and in managing tender requests;
- Communicate with project stakeholders and build business relationships with suppliers, professional firms, and subcontractors;
- Estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, tools, and subcontracting using the management software;
- Prepare and submit final proposals to clients;
- Coordinate project bid closures with the responsible parties;
- Collaborate with the team for project start-up (project manager, foreman, etc.);
- Contribute to updating databases (technical data, references, suppliers);
- Assist in the integration and maintenance of the estimating software;
- Participate in meetings to establish estimating strategies;
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
- Hold a college diploma in Estimating, Electrical Studies, or any other equivalent training;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;
- Relevant experience in the electrical field;
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
- Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec;
- Available to travel to job sites as needed;
- Knowledge of standard computer programs;
- Familiar with Maestro software (an asset);
- Knowledge of construction laws, rules, and regulations in Québec (building electricity), as well as the Canadian Electrical Code;
- Display excellent customer-focused approach.
