RESPONSABILITIE
In the role of Estimator, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by analyzing and qualifying requests, and preparing accurate project cost estimates. More precisely, you will have to :
  • Analyze projects as a whole to properly plan steps and costs;
  • Interpret accurately technical specifications in tender documents;
  • Participate in sourcing suppliers and subcontractors and in managing tender requests;
  • Communicate with project stakeholders and build business relationships with suppliers, professional firms, and subcontractors;
  • Estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, tools, and subcontracting using the management software;
  • Prepare and submit final proposals to clients;
  • Coordinate project bid closures with the responsible parties;
  • Collaborate with the team for project start-up (project manager, foreman, etc.);
  • Contribute to updating databases (technical data, references, suppliers);
  • Assist in the integration and maintenance of the estimating software;
  • Participate in meetings to establish estimating strategies;
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a college diploma in Estimating, Electrical Studies, or any other equivalent training;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Relevant experience in the electrical field;
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Be fluent in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with our partners outside of Quebec;
  • Available to travel to job sites as needed;
  • Knowledge of standard computer programs;
  • Familiar with Maestro software (an asset);
  • Knowledge of construction laws, rules, and regulations in Québec (building electricity), as well as the Canadian Electrical Code;
  • Display excellent customer-focused approach.
