About Our Company
MecXel is a manufacturing company dedicated to the modular assembly of industrial process systems for its two clients, Mécanitec and Excelpro.
Our company’s activities primarily involve the modular assembly of industrial process systems using components and technical drawings provided by our two clients. Our assembled products include compressor rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, process rooms, processes housed in shipping containers, and modular block plants.
Position Summary
Operations: With the support of your team and internal departments, you will be responsible for MecXel’s operations. You will ensure the implementation and optimization of management processes and tools in order to provide competitive proposals to our two exclusive clients, while ensuring compliance with budgets, schedules, quality standards, and client requirements, as well as maintaining safety and continuous improvement of methods. You will contribute to maintaining the leadership position of our two exclusive clients.
Human Resources and Health & Safety: You will be responsible for implementing HR strategies at MecXel. You will support managers in leading their teams and maintaining a positive and engaging work environment. You will also be responsible for eliminating health, safety, and physical risks at the source for employees, in partnership with the Health & Safety department.
Responsibilities
Alignment and Local Governance
- Translate the Board of Directors’ strategic directions into concrete site priorities;
- Align functional directors across departments (production, projects, methods, planning, etc.);
- Resolve issues that exceed the authority or scope of a single director;
- Represent the site to the Board of Directors and report on overall performance.
Site Performance
- Monitor and manage key site performance indicators (deliveries, costs, quality, HR);
- Identify imbalances between functions and implement action plans;
- Ensure the site’s operational profitability.
Development and Culture
- Coach and develop directors reporting to you;
- Maintain the company culture and standards across the site;
- Manage significant HR matters for the site (key hires, inter-team conflicts, etc.).
Strategic Projects
- Lead or sponsor major change initiatives at the site;
- Coordinate implementation activities during the launch of new projects.
Skills and Qualifications Profile

- Hold a university degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field;
- Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant management experience;
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for assembly lines;
- Strong problem-solving approach focused on innovative and efficient solutions to complex issues;
- Positive and engaging leadership style, combined with strong coaching abilities for managers;
- Excellent communication, influencing, and active listening skills;
- Proficiency in French, with advanced English skills to interact with English-speaking clients and partners.
