The Youth in Minds Foundation is looking for Mental Health Facilitators to complete its contract facilitation team based in Montreal. This stimulating role involves connecting with thousands of young people in the field to raise awareness about the basics of positive mental health, as well as providing guidance toward appropriate resources.

Job Requirements 

  • You are the ideal candidate if you: 
  • Hold a college or university diploma in humanities, social sciences, or a helping field (e.g., humanities, special education, criminology intervention, social work, psychology, psychoeducation, or other relevant experience) 
  • Have a valid Quebec driver’s license 
  • Have 1–2 years of experience in facilitation or intervention with adolescents 
  • Live on the Island of Montreal 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of issues related to youth mental health 
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships 
  • Are energized by variable schedules and changing priorities 
  • Have a high level of adaptability 
  • Show autonomy and a strong sense of initiative and responsibility 
  • Are proficient in spoken and written French (an asset) 
  • Are proficient in spoken and written English (essential) 
 

Job Description 

  • Specifically, the selected candidate will be responsible for: 
  • Mastering the content of awareness workshops (“Mental Health Basics” and “Partners for Life”) 
  • Leading awareness workshops and directing teens to support resources in high schools and within the community 
  • Participating in information booths and events to meet youth and discuss mental health in various contexts 
  • Promoting the Foundation’s digital toolkits and service offerings 
  • Completingdailyoperational reports 
  • Traveling frequently across Greater Montreal and the regions of Quebec to meet teens, school teams, and partners in the field 
  • Developing knowledge through ongoing training on adolescent mental health 
  • Participating in certain philanthropic events organized by the Foundation 
 

WhatWeOffer 

  • Contract position starting in August 2026 
  • Full-time schedule (35 hours/week, Monday to Friday), with occasional evenings and weekends 
  • Hybrid work model (schools, remote work, occasional presence at the Montreal office)

  • 10-week probation period, including 4 weeks of training and 6 weeks of facilitation (August 31 to October 6) 
  • Salary of $21.00 per hour during the probation period 
  • Regular salary of $22.50 per hour after probation 
  • Per diem reimbursement for meals during travel, including overnight stays outside Greater Montreal 
  • Retention bonus of $775 at the end of the contract (conditions apply)
