Role / Description: Our client is currently seeking schedulers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the main project schedule, ensuring its integrity in terms of scope of work, lot breakdown, activity sequencing, and weighting according to the budget forecast.
- Consolidate the schedules of stakeholders, validating the structure, interface links, resource capacity, calendars, and budgets, to establish the basis for variance and performance analysis.
- Control the quality of the main and detailed schedules, ensuring data validity during scope changes and advising the project team on strategic decisions.
- Undertake the necessary steps with stakeholders to integrate information allowing the update of baseline plans and/or updates based on project progress.
- Participate in site meetings, identify sequencing issues and opportunities, evaluate work plans, develop "what-if" scenarios, and recommend corrective actions to minimize impacts on networks, adjacent projects, and operations.
- Maintain constant vigilance on project issues, anticipate impacts on schedule performance, and guide mitigation plans.
- Lead performance follow-up meetings in collaboration with project management leaders, present reports, and ensure greater visibility of schedule-related issues and opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports by issuing schedule performance analyses (Earned Value, critical path, explanation of variances).
- Support the preparation of governance reports and assist in preparing accountability reports.
- Provide expertise during the periodic budget forecasting exercise to reflect project progress in follow-up reports.
- Collaborate with various functional teams to ensure compliance with management processes and project governance.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in engineering, project management, mathematics, or a related field, or any other relevant training.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in schedule management, with expertise in earned value methods.
- Proficiency in project management tools, including Primavera (P6), as well as a good command of Excel, Power BI, and MS Project.
- Experience in the engineering and construction sector.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and their application in projects.
- Experience with schedule risk analysis tools is a significant asset.
- Excellent teamwork skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with priorities that can change quickly.
- Leadership spirit, autonomy, and the ability to organize and structure work effectively.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality.
- Proficiency in French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of English is an asset.
- Ability to pass a security check to obtain a pass to access regulated areas.
