The General Laborer must enjoy physical work and have an interest in repetitive tasks. The main duties involve operating various tools for steel production and handling steel using an overhead crane.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position;
- Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday;
- 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities
- Handle steel using an overhead crane;
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings;
- Perform drilling, grinding, shearing, and cleaning of various steel parts;
- Operate various hand tools for steel production;
- Ensure all work meets quality standards;
- Support the specialized laborer in their tasks and responsibilities;
- Assist various departments during peak periods;
- Work respectfully toward the workspace, colleagues, and tools;
- Strictly follow Health and Safety at Work (OHS) standards;
- Support cohesion across all departments of the organization;
- Promote and contribute to a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
- Perform any other reasonable and related tasks normally carried out by a General Laborer, in accordance with the position’s skills, competencies, and capabilities.
Hiring Requirements
- High school diploma (DES);
- Experience in steel manufacturing and with overhead cranes;
- Valid forklift operator card – Asset;
- Knowledge of steel products – Asset.
