The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring that all schedules established with clients are met and that all parties involved (Site Managers, workers, subcontractors, etc.) have the necessary resources to carry out the work efficiently and safely. The Project Manager oversees all technical aspects related to the interpretation of plans, specifications, and requirements tied to project execution on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in project kickoff, follow-up, and planning meetings;
  • Supervise and support Site Managers and Foremen under their responsibility;
  • Determine, plan, and ensure efficient use of human and material resources;
  • Promote, encourage, and contribute to prevention efforts to maintain a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
  • Support, motivate, mobilize, and evaluate the personnel under their supervision;
  • Ensure the complete management and coordination of assigned projects in collaboration with Site Managers;
  • Plan, establish, and monitor project schedules to ensure deliverables are met;
  • Review and validate plans and contracts to ensure a full understanding of the work to be completed in compliance with all specifications;
  • Ensure client purchase orders are received for all assigned projects;
  • Perform clerical tasks related to project management: billing, requisitions, purchase orders, approval of timesheets and expenses, post-project documentation, access requests, as-built drawings (TQC), etc.;
  • Hire subcontractors, issue their purchase orders, and approve their invoices;
  • Personally follow up on projects with clients and ensure coordination between clients, consultants, and project-related resources;
  • Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to original plans and any approved additional work;
  • Support the estimating team, when required, by preparing bids and participating in site visits;
  • Perform any other reasonable and related duties normally carried out by a person in this position, in accordance with the skills, competencies, and capabilities of a Project Manager;
  • Contribute to maintaining cohesion and collaboration across all departments within the organization;
  • Promote and contribute to prevention and continuous improvement efforts within the team.
