The Telecom Rigger is responsible for installing telecommunication equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.) and mobile telecommunication structures (cellular networks). The work may take place on towers, rooftops, and within industrial or commercial buildings.

Work Schedule

  • Must be available to travel from Monday to Friday (with the possibility of 10 consecutive days of work).

Work Location

  • Travel required to job sites across Western Canada (British Columbia and Alberta).

Responsibilities

  • Install telecommunication equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.);
  • Perform work at heights on telecommunication towers;
  • Connect and wire telecommunication systems and equipment;
  • Perform vertical and horizontal movements within steel or wooden structures;
  • Carry out suspended work at heights;
  • Handle both manual and electronic tools;
  • Collaborate with all departments to maintain effective communication and teamwork;
  • Promote and contribute to a safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
  • Perform any other reasonable and related duties normally assigned to a Telecom Rigger, in accordance with their skills, competencies, and physical ability.

Hiring Requirements

  • Hold a valid Construction Safety Awareness (CSTS or equivalent) certification
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent)
