The Telecom Foreman supervises and oversees the daily management of multiple workers on assigned job sites. This role involves coordinating and performing the installation of telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.) and mobile communication structures (cell towers) with the team under their supervision, while ensuring that project priorities established with the Site Manager and Project Manager are followed. The Team Lead ensures that tasks are distributed and coordinated efficiently and effectively among all team members. Work may take place on towers, rooftops, and within industrial or commercial buildings.

The successful candidate must have prior experience in personnel management as a Telecom Foreman and be capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans.

Work Schedule

  • Must be available to travel from Monday to Friday (with the possibility of 10 consecutive days of work).

Work Location

  • Travel required to job sites across Western Canada (British Columbia and Alberta).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the management of assigned job sites;
  • Assist team members in various field tasks, including:
  • Installation of telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.);
  • Performing tower climbing and working at heights;
  • Connecting and wiring telecommunications equipment;
  • Carrying out vertical and horizontal movements within steel or wooden structures;
  • Performing tasks while fully suspended at height;
  • Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently;
  • Support and maintain cohesion and collaboration with all company departments;
  • Promote, encourage, and contribute to ongoing health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
  • Perform any other reasonable and related duties normally expected of a person in the role of Telecom Rigger, within the limits of their skills, competencies, and abilities.

Hiring Requirements

  • Hold a valid Construction Safety Awareness (CSTS or equivalent) certification
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent)
