Job Description
The Telecommunications Technician position requires traveling to job sites to install, test, and commission telecommunications equipment. The technician will work in collaboration with employees from other divisions within the group to complete assigned tasks.

Must be available Monday to Friday (possibility of 10 consecutive days) to perform work
Work Location

Travel to job sites in Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes)
Main Responsibilities
Equipment Installation (Equipment Shelter)
-
Install and connect active and passive equipment inside the equipment shelter (cabinets, racks, bays).

Install and connect radio units, BBUs, routers, and transmission equipment.

Install 48V electrical cabling, coaxial cables, and fiber optic cables.

Install power systems (rectifiers, batteries, grounding).

Follow engineering plans, electrical diagrams, and operator standards.
Testing and Commissioning at Tower Top -
Perform RF testing directly at the top of the tower..

Verify signal levels, VSWR, and cable continuity.

Validate antenna and radio equipment performance.

Identify and correct anomalies before site commissioning.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting -
Diagnose and repair cellular equipment failures.

Respond to network alarms and incidents.
-
Perform preventive and corrective site maintenance.

Document interventions and test results.

Hiring Requirements

General Health and Safety on Construction Sites certification (ASP-Construction)

Valid Class 5 driver’s license
