Job Description
The position of Estimator involves preparing project bids for the various companies within the Madysta Group based on information received from clients. The role includes analyzing plans, assessing project requirements, and submitting bids to clients. Additionally, if necessary, the position may require visiting job sites to evaluate needs directly on location.

Work Schedule

  • Day shift, Monday to Friday (flexible hours)

  • 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze tender documents and understand the scope of the project

  • Take quantity measurements when required in the tender documents

  • Clarify the scope of work with the client, if needed

  • Validate the company’s ability to fulfill a contract with internal resources

  • Assess, when required, the resources needed to complete a contract, using internal resources and past project data

  • Prepare and ensure compliance of deliverables to be submitted with the bid

  • Perform project cost calculations

  • Document project risks and key elements

  • Validate applicable markups and profits for a project and obtain approval from Management before submission

  • Submit a bid as required by the client

  • Prepare initial material lists required for project completion

  • Share estimation and project information with the Operations Department after project assignment

  • Calculate costs for change orders when required, based on information provided by the Operations Department

  • Collaborate to maintain cohesion with all departments within the organization

  • Perform any other reasonable and related tasks typically carried out by someone in the same position

Hiring Requirements

  • Class 5 driver’s license

  • Certification in General Health and Safety on Construction Sites (ASP - Construction)

  • Asset: Specialization in steel structures
