The Fiber Optic Splicer is responsible for performing fiber optic splicing on external networks. This includes opening enclosures, preparing cables, and carrying out splices according to client-issued plans. In addition, the Fiber Optic Splicer conducts tests upon completion of the work to ensure the proper functioning of the network. The position requires frequent travel and outdoor work.
Work Schedule
- Day shift, Monday to Friday;
- 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Perform fiber optic splicing;
- Read and interpret plans for project execution;
- Collaborate in maintaining cohesion across all departments of the organization;
- Promote and contribute to prevention efforts for a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
- Perform any other reasonable and related tasks normally carried out by a Fiber Optic Splicer, in keeping with the skills, abilities, and capacity required for the position.
Job Requirements
- Hold a General Health and Safety on Construction Sites (ASP-Construction) certification;
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Basic computer knowledge.
