The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy mobile machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other similar equipment. When there is no heavy equipment operation required, the worker assists other team members by performing manual civil work, such as rebar installation, formwork, grading, shoveling, and other physical tasks.

Must be available Monday to Friday (possibility of up to 10 consecutive days) to perform the work.

Responsibilities
- Operate heavy mobile equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.);
- Perform civil construction work (excavation, foundations, access roads, etc.);
- Assist other team members with various tasks;
- Operate hand and power tools;
- Contribute to maintaining cohesion and collaboration across all departments of the organization;
- Promote and participate in prevention efforts to ensure a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
- Perform any other reasonable and related duties normally carried out by someone in the same position, consistent with the skills, abilities, and responsibilities of a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Hiring Requirements
- Hold the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites certification (ASP-Construction);
- Hold a DEP in Heavy Equipment Operation or have equivalent relevant experience;
- Hold a valid Competency Certificate (CCQ) – Excavator Operator;
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
- Asset: Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
