The Rigger  - Survey and inspection Team is responsible for conducting aerial surveys using a drone to inspect telecommunication structures. This role works closely with the Quality Control Manager and reports any anomalies observed in the field. The incumbent must comply with common installation standards and guidelines for aerial structure inspections.

Work Schedule

  • Must be available to travel from Monday to Friday (with the possibility of 10 consecutive days of work).

Responsibilities

On-Site Technical Surveys

  • Conduct detailed surveys of existing installations (antennas, radios, cabling, mounts).

  • Measure and document antenna heights, azimuths, and mechanical tilts.

  • Identify antenna types, mounts, RF equipment, and fiber equipment.

  • Photograph and document the condition of installations.

  • Produce accurate reports for engineering and design teams.

Tower-Top Inspection

Climb to the top of structures to inspect:

  • Antennas and mounts

  • Radios (RRU/RRH)

  • RF cables and fiber

  • Verify mechanical condition (fastenings, corrosion, stability).

  • Confirm compliance with engineering drawings.

  • Document any deviations or safety concerns.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure installations comply with OHS standards and operator requirements.

  • Identify potential risks.

  • Ensure previous work was completed according to industry best practices.

 

Work Environment

  • Cellular towers and elevated structures

Hiring Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent).
  • Comfortable working at heights, including vertical and horizontal movement on steel or wood structures.
  • Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety on Construction Sites (ASP Construction).
  • Proficiency with IT equipment and data processing software.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work outside the home region from Monday to Friday.
  • Asset: Drone pilot certification.
