Project Planner – Mechanical Engineering Profile (2976)
Location: Longueuil – Hybrid work model

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Project Planner with a background in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical profile, possessing solid experience in planning, coordination, and monitoring of engineering projects.
The ideal candidate masters advanced planning tools, understands product development phases, and is able to work in a structured and demanding technical environment.
The selected resources will operate in a structured technical environment, on engineering projects where needs may evolve rapidly.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, and engineering of mechanical or electromechanical systems.
- Develop, structure, and update project schedules, including dependency management, baselines, critical paths, and progress tracking.
- Support project managers in activity coordination, information consolidation, and deliverable management.
- Contribute to risk management, cost/schedule impact analysis, and budget monitoring.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, procurement, and production teams to ensure technical consistency and project progress.
- Participate in documentation, technical analyses, and continuous process improvement.
- Designate a Point of Contact (POC) responsible for all communications and ensure that service provider resources and personnel are available for the Statement of Work (SOW).
Required Tools
- OdyC (main planning tool – training available, but strong planning fundamentals are essential).
- Knowledge of at least one advanced planning tool, such as:
- MS Project
- Primavera P6
- Gira
- or equivalent
- Advanced Excel skills required (analysis, models, pivot tables, automation).
- Knowledge of Planisware (asset).
Desired Profile
Technical Skills
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- About 10 years of experience in mechanical/electrical design, technical development, or engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (no VBA required).
- Knowledge of Planisware (asset).
- Demonstrated mastery of project management fundamentals:
- planning
- risk management
- budget monitoring
- workload and deliverable management
- Good understanding of product development phases.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments (major asset).
- Experience in regulated environments (asset).

- Advanced French (native-level preferred).
