Setec Proxima, the Canadian subsidiary of Setec Eocen, supports major industrial players in the structuring, planning, and management of complex projects.

As part of our long-term collaboration with Airbus, we are strengthening our project team in Mirabel.

We are looking for a Project Manager ready to grow in a dynamic environment, within multidisciplinary teams, working on high‑stakes industrial topics.

 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced PMO to support the operational, financial, and strategic performance of a key project portfolio. The selected candidate will play a central role in budget management, governance, performance analysis, and executive committee support.

The PMO will act as a business partner to Finance, Engineering, and Leadership teams to ensure portfolio coherence and the achievement of business objectives.

 

Main Responsibilities

1. Financial and Budget Management

  • Monitor monthly expenditures, including ODCs, and analyze significant variances.
  • Lead budget forecasting for key portfolios and validate financial assumptions.
  • Facilitate financial forecast meetings with Finance and Engineering teams.
  • Contribute to financial planning cycles (OP, FCI, FCII) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify and document financial risks and opportunities.

2. Portfolio Management (Enable Sales)

  • Ensure portfolio alignment with corporate strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Develop synergies between projects to maximize delivered value.
  • Oversee the governance of change requests (PCR): quality, budget, timelines, issues, and escalations.

3. Business Partnership and Performance

  • Prepare consolidated views and financial analyses to support leadership decisions.
  • Produce inputs for governance committees (e.g., SteerCo).
  • Define, track, and present performance indicators (KPIs).

4. Governance, Risks, and Opportunities

  • Apply best practices in portfolio management (PPM).
  • Manage and update risk and opportunity registers (R&O).
  • Escalate critical risks to leadership and recommend action plans.

5. Decision Support and Operational Follow‑up

  • Trigger and monitor recovery plans when targets are at risk.
  • Actively participate in governance bodies and follow‑up meetings.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of financial and operational data.
 

Desired Profile

  • Proven experience in PMO, portfolio management, or financial management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong command of financial tools.
  • Great communication, synthesis, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of engineering environments or complex projects (an asset).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, MS Project, or equivalent PPM tools.
