Setec Proxima is currently seeking several Project Planners to support major industrial projects in a complex, structured, and high-demand manufacturing environment.

We are looking for professionals who can quickly adapt in multidisciplinary projects where rigor, coordination, and schedule management are essential.

Context

This position is based in Montreal as part of large-scale projects currently in the execution phase. We are seeking an Intermediate Project Planner to join a dynamic team and actively contribute to the structuring and monitoring of schedules in a multidisciplinary environment.

Role Description

As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for supporting project teams in planning, monitoring, and analyzing schedules.

You will work on various construction or infrastructure projects, contributing to ensuring activity alignment and meeting deadlines, while collaborating closely with technical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules (Gantt, milestones, sequences)
  • Participate in work structuring (WBS, activity breakdown)
  • Track project progress and update schedules
  • Identify deviations and support schedule analysis
  • Contribute to risk identification and mitigation plans
  • Participate in follow-up meetings and coordinate planning-related information
  • Produce basic progress reports (KPIs, schedule tracking)
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction teams, and stakeholders

Profile

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in planning or project management
  • Initial experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments (asset)
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Good understanding of project planning principles

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate level in planning tools:
    • MS Project
    • and/or Primavera
  • Schedule development and monitoring
  • Knowledge of project deliverables (milestones, sequences, activities)
  • Basic knowledge of risk management and progress tracking
