Setec Proxima is seeking a Senior Construction Cost Consultant to support major institutional, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Quebec.

Your Role
As a Senior Construction Cost Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor on construction costs, providing expertise in financial analysis, cost planning, value optimization, and cost management throughout all phases of a project.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and validate construction budgets
• Prepare cost estimates throughout the various phases of projects
• Conduct financial and economic feasibility studies
• Perform cost analyses and benchmarking studies
• Lead value engineering exercises to optimize project scope and investments
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Advise project teams on cost management strategies
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures
• Monitor project costs and budget variances
• Participate in procurement and tendering processes
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients
• Present analyses, recommendations, and optimization strategies to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Economics, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction cost consulting or a similar role
• Certified Construction Cost Consultant (CCA) designation or equivalent recognized certification
• Experience in institutional, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects
• Strong expertise in construction cost analysis and budget planning
• Solid knowledge of Uniformat and MasterFormat classification systems
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Assets
• Experience on large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects
• Experience in cost control and project financial governance
• Knowledge of project management best practices
• Experience working with public sector clients
