About the 2027 Canada Games
The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition. They will bring together over 3,500 high-caliber athletes and coaches to Quebec City across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, they celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.

The winter edition of the 2027 Canada Games will take place in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027.
 

Building the team
The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold minds to create memorable Games. Your mission? Join a passionate team that will create exceptional moments for both athletes and visitors while building a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation for our community.
 

Your Role
The 2027 Canada Games are looking for a passionate, organized, and creative Director, Web and broadcast production to lead all video production and broadcast activities for the event. You will oversee the capture of over 1,100 hours of competition footage and deliver high-quality content that will showcase the Games across the country. As a manager, you will support and guide your team in the planning, administration, and execution of all services related to video production.

Reporting to the Chief Partnerships and Community Relations Officer, your talent and energy will enable you to:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the capture, production, and live broadcast of sporting competitions.
  • Develop the broadcast plan and manage the schedule with precision, in collaboration with the sport, communications, and technology teams.
  • Lead the request for proposals (RFP) process to select the best capture and production service providers.
  • Ensure smooth and timely delivery of content to broadcast partners, in compliance with technical standards.
  • Integrate and respect sponsor requirements within the video content.
  • Manage your budget, suppliers, and production timelines.
  • Engage, support, and empower your production team in a high-intensity environment.
 

Keys to success

  • A university degree in television production, communications, film, media, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in video or television production and broadcasting.
  • Excellent understanding of production and live streaming technologies.
  • Good knowledge of the Vimeo platform and RTMP/SRT streaming protocols.
  • Professional fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and budgets.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Criminal background check required
