Canada Games: Québec, 2027
The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition and will bring together more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.

Your Role
History is made with the right people.
- Plan and coordinate food service logistics for Games participants by identifying meal, snack, and hydration needs for each target group across all sites ;
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners to develop varied, balanced, and nutritionally appropriate food offerings tailored to specific needs ;
- Ensure strict financial management of food service operations, including budget tracking, expense validation, and identifying cost-saving opportunities ;
- Oversee the implementation of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation protocols in accordance with applicable regulations ;
- Coordinate deliveries, distribution, and the installation of food service equipment, while respecting established sustainability goals ;
- Draft policies, procedures, and operational guidelines that will govern food service delivery during the Games ;
- Organize and lead meetings of the food service committee, ensuring clear and effective communication with stakeholders ;
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers dedicated to food services, fostering a positive work environment and efficient execution ;
- Work closely with other departments (Village Services, Transportation, Medical Services, Site Operations, Sports Operations, etc.) to ensure operational alignment across all sites ;
- Demonstrate sound judgment and responsiveness when managing unforeseen situations in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
Keys to success
Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:
- College or technical diploma in food service management, dietetics and nutrition, event management, logistics, administration or a related field. A university degree is considered an asset;
- 3 years of experience coordinating food services, ideally in an event or multi-site context;
- Solid understanding of nutritional guidelines, particularly related to the needs of high-performance athletes;
- Fluent in French (written and spoken); working knowledge of English;
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards;
- Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ) food safety certification: an asset;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
- Based in the Quebec City region or ready to relocate to be part of the adventure;
- Criminal background check required;
- Authorization to work in Canada.
