Canada Games: Quebec City, 2027
The Canada Games is the country's largest multi-sport competition, bringing together over 3,500 high-caliber athletes and coaches in 22 sports from February 27 to March 14, 2027, in Québec. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.
Your Role
Want to make a real impact? As Coordinator, Sustainable Development and Inclusion, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the 2027 Canada Games through an environmental, social, and responsible lens. In this strategic role, you'll be the champion of positive change, combining environmental performance and social inclusion to create Games that will provide benefits to future generations.
Your mandate
- Facilitate the planning and implementation of sustainable development initiatives that will set new standards in the sporting world.
- Collaborate on participant and public awareness, creatively and impactfully promoting our sustainable development messages.
- Participate in developing policies, programs, and processes that reduce our environmental impacts.
- Ensure that the organization's sustainable development initiatives and programs incorporate contributions from partners.
- Monitor indicators, document actions, and ensure sustainability and inclusion objectives are met.
- Implement, enhance, and adjust operational plans for environment, universal accessibility, and social inclusion.
- Ensure achievement of environmental certifications targeted by the Host Society.

Keys to success
Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:
- College or technical diploma in environment, sustainable development, or other relevant field. A university degree or specialization in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is considered an asset.
- 3 years of professional experience in a similar role, ideally in events, municipal, or organizational settings.
- Knowledge of best practices in sustainable development, responsible procurement, and stakeholder engagement.
- Perfect command of French (oral and written); intermediate level of English (oral and written).
- Based in the Quebec City region or ready to relocate to be part of the adventure.
- Criminal background check required.
