Medical Volunteers – 2027 Canada Games

The 2027 Canada Games in Québec City are recruiting medical volunteers to support care and prevention operations in a dynamic, stimulating, and highly collaborative environment.
Over 3,000 athletes and coaches from across the country will take part in this national event — and your support could make all the difference.

 

Profiles We’re Looking For

We are currently recruiting for the following roles. Job descriptions are available via the hyperlink for each position:

📍All positions are volunteer-based and require a commitment both before and during the Games.

 

Your Mission

Depending on the role, responsibilities may vary, but in general, you will be expected to:

  • Participate in planning meetings to organize medical services.

  • Be present at sports venues and/or the polyclinic.

  • Provide medical care and refer individuals to appropriate services.

  • Contribute to the overall well-being of athletes, volunteers, and spectators.

  • Collaborate with other operational teams (logistics, security, transport, etc.).

 

Your Profile

  • You hold a healthcare qualification (depending on the position requirements).

  • You demonstrate professionalism, composure, and team spirit.

  • You can work in varied and sometimes high-pressure environments.

  • You're available for training and planning sessions in Québec City.

  • Experience in sports events or emergency care is an asset.

 

Your Commitment

Before the Games: Participation in orientation sessions and role-specific training.
During the Games (February 27 – March 14, 2027): Availability based on a defined schedule (day, evening, or weekend shifts depending on the site).
Flexible yet essential commitment leading up to and during the event.

Game-Time Medical Volunteer

Flexible commitment, operational tasks

Your Profile

You hold a healthcare-related qualification (e.g., physician, physiotherapist, chiropractor, athletic therapist, massage therapist, nurse, ski patroller, anti-doping control officer, Canadian Red Cross First Responder, or equivalent training).

  • You are bilingual

  • You demonstrate professionalism, composure, and team spirit

  • You can operate in varied and sometimes high-pressure environments

  • You are available to volunteer between February 27 and March 14, 2027, according to your availability
