Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate perseverance and the spirit of young Canadian athletes.

Building the Team

The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold minds to help create unforgettable Games. Your mission? Join a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional moments for athletes and visitors alike, while building a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation for our community.

Your Role

Ready to make history? As the Coordinator, Accreditation, you’ll be at the heart of planning and implementing the accreditation process for the thousands of people who will make the Games possible — volunteers, athletes, media, dignitaries, and partners.

Your organizational skills and collaborative spirit will ensure that everyone has access to the right places at the right time, safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the full accreditation system, from start to finish.

Reporting to the Director, Human Capital, your energy and talent will allow you to:

  • Plan and oversee accreditation for athletes, the Games Family, media, dignitaries, and our incredible volunteers.
  • Master the accreditation system and all related rules to ensure a smooth process.
  • Research suppliers, establish plans, and schedule timelines for accrediting approximately 15,000 individuals.
  • Oversee the full implementation of the accreditation plan: collection, verification, issuance, and distribution of passes and badges.
  • Work closely with the Volunteer Services team, committees, and all involved departments to support the Games Management System and the Uniform & Accreditation Distribution Centre.
  • Collaborate with the Sport and Venues team to ensure consistency between the accreditation system and venue access control plans.
  • Coordinate the registration of volunteers, participants, Games Family, dignitaries, and media.
  • Supervise daily operations at accreditation centres and resolve challenges in real time, always with a smile.
  • Keep leadership informed of progress and produce a post-event report with insights for future improvement.
  • Support the Volunteer Services program: recruitment, orientation, training, and uniform distribution as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any accreditation-related issues with creativity, energy, and teamwork.

Here’s what you’ll need to be part of our team:

  • College diploma in event management, recreation, business administration, project management, operations, logistics, or a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in coordination, event planning, or accreditation process management.
  • Strong computer and systems skills (experience with accreditation or volunteer management systems is an asset).
  • Proven ability to work in a team, manage multiple priorities, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent command of French (spoken and written) and intermediate English proficiency.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
