Canada Games: Québec, 2027
The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition and will bring together more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.
Building the Team

Your Role
History is made with the right people. As Assistant, Volunteer Services, you will play a key operational support role within the team responsible for recruiting and supervising more than 4,500 volunteers. Through your thoroughness, organizational skills, and people-oriented approach, you will help provide a smooth, engaging, and positive volunteer experience.
Under the supervision of the Director, Human Capital, your talent and energy will enable you to:
- Actively participate in volunteer recruitment by providing administrative support, contributing to field activities, and proudly representing the Games at recruitment events.
- Contribute to the volunteer selection and assignment process by following up, updating files, and entering information into systems.
- Maintain an active presence at the Volunteer Center according to established schedules, and provide a warm welcome and front-line support.
- Follow up with various departments as needed to compile and update operational needs and volunteer schedules.
- Support the team in planning and delivering volunteer training before and during the Games.
- Contribute to the implementation of the volunteer recognition plan, promoting a positive, engaging, and memorable experience.
- Support the preparation of accreditation for nearly 15,000 accredited individuals, including entering and validating information in the accreditation module of the registration system.
- Support the operations of the Uniform Distribution and Accreditation Center in participating in preparation, organization, and on-site support.
- Participating in the assembly, preparation, and distribution of accreditation kits to the various sites.
- Addressing unexpected challenges by applying your creativity and energy to find solutions to situations and challenges that arise along the way.
Keys to success
Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:
- College diploma in event management, communications, sports intervention, or any other relevant field;
- 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Proficiency with computer tools (Google Workspace);
- Ability to work with volunteer databases and registration or management platforms (e.g., CRM);
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Good command of French, both spoken and written; English is an asset;
- Authorization to work in Canada;
- Criminal background check required.
