2027 Canada Games in Québec City

The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition and will bring together more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches in Quebec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.

Your Role

History is made with the right people.  As a Graphic Designer,you will actively contribute to the visual identity of the Games by creating compelling and functional visuals. You will be primarily responsible for the signage and visual display across the various venues, ensuring a coherent and professional visual experience for all participants, partners, and visitors. 

Under the supervision of the Sports and Venues Director, your talent and energy will enable you to: 

  • Design and prepare site dressing and event signage elements in alignment with the brand guidelines;
  • Prepare final files for printing and ensure their technical compliance (formats, bleed, colour profiles, resolution, etc.);
  • Participate in the design and production of creative visual tools and concepts, both printed and digital, consistent with the Games' brand image;
  • Support the development and adaptation of visuals for promotional campaigns, digital platforms, merchandise, and various communication tools;
  • Adapt graphic concepts for various formats (social media, newsletters, signage, printed publications, etc.);
  • Ensure typographical consistency, layout, and rigorous application of the visual identity across all media;
  • Make graphic adjustments, corrections, and updates requested by the team;
  • Organize and manage source files, image banks, and templates to ensure efficient production;
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external suppliers (printers, agencies, etc.) as needed;
  • Meet deadlines, priorities, and established quality standards.

Keys to success

  • College diploma in graphic design or any relevant field (bachelor's degree in graphic design is an asset);
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in graphic design;
  • Excellent command of Adobe graphic design software;
  • Good understanding of graphic standards, layout principles, typography, and branding;
  • Knowledge of technical requirements related to printing (file preparation, bleed, colour profiles, resolution);
  • Working knowledge of digital formats and the basics of HTML/HTML5 (an asset);
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, and ability to adhere to established visual standards;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines;
  • Team spirit, openness to feedback, and collaborative attitude;
  • Professional proficiency in French and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written;
  • Criminal background check required.
