About the Position
In this role, you will actively participate in the execution of the work while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
More specifically, you will be responsible for :
- Read and interpret drawings, welding procedures (WPS), and applicable standards (CSA, ASME, etc.);
- Prepare surfaces and assemble components (piping, tanks, high-pressure lines);
- Perform high-pressure welding (TIG, SMAW, sometimes FCAW) on various alloys (carbon steel, stainless steel, etc.);
- Carry out welding in position (vertical, overhead), often in confined environments;
- Control weld quality (visual inspection, compliance with NDT criteria);
- Repair, modify, or replace pressurized equipment in a mining environment;
- Strictly follow health and safety standards (remote job sites, confined spaces, PPE);
- Document work and ensure weld traceability (reports, identification, QA/QC tracking).
Desired Profile
- Trained in welding and possessing relevant work experience
- Possess high-pressure welding certification cards
- ASP Construction training (an asset)
