We are seeking a VP-Business Development and Marketing who will lead the development and execution of the business development vision, strategy and processes. Your mandate will be to stimulate sales, increase revenues, expand markets and achieve financial objectives by identifying new markets, partners, channels and customers. You will be responsible for improving the growth of the company by researching new areas, cross-selling new products to existing customers, generating new product ideas to meet evolving market customer needs


Working environment

Our offices are in Laval and are easily accessible (Highway 440 service road). Please note that, considering the nature of our industry, the candidate must be able to be exposed to peanuts and other tree nut allergens without problem. Customers, suppliers, distribution centers and other locations visits are frequent and necessary it requires the ability to travel within Canada and internationally.

We offer you a competitive salary starting at $180,000 with a bonus focused on acquiring new markets and customers.

Your responsibilities:

• Participate in establishing the company's long-term objectives and design plans to    achieve them.
• Promote the maintenance of an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions to guide and fuel long-term, sustainable growth.
• Manage product development, distribution and promotion strategies.
• Lead financial feasibility studies, proposal development and negotiations for new business opportunities.
• Research and analyze the business environment, competitors and other stakeholders for new opportunities.
• Oversee and implement the entire sales cycle which includes market research, market analysis, presentation to various prospects and customer retention.
• Lead various marketing strategies such as social media marketing, content marketing, cold calling, email marketing and other strategies to develop viable leads that can be converted into successful customers.
• Lead sales, marketing, customer service and customer relationship management teams.
• Establish relationships with customers, distributors and strategic partners
• Evaluate existing partnerships and sales efforts to find opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships that will increase lead generation and market share.


Your profile

Technical

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or a related field (MBA an asset)
• Experience in the “solid” food sector
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or marketing, with a particular emphasis on business development within a consumer goods company
• Have accumulated 10 years of experience in a management role, ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
• Excellent IT skills with mastery in Microsoft Suite and customer relational database management systems.
• Experience and in-depth knowledge of digital marketing
