Reporting to the Head of Business Applications and Operational Performance, the FICO Business Analyst is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing SAP processes to support and enhance reporting and analytical needs within the APM. This individual will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and management of all aspects of financial reporting and underlying processes. This position will also support base planning and portfolio planning, forecasting, and the overall financial health of the APM, while ensuring continuous evolution and alignment with strategic objectives.

The key responsibilities of this position will be as follows:
 
  • Operational Performance & Business Value
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, document current business processes/customizations, and deploy new processes.
    • Conduct periodic system audits to identify opportunities for improvement and potential process deviations.
    • Provide recommendations for process improvements with a focus on standard SAP process solutions.
    • Deploy the SAP FICO configuration and ensure it aligns with business needs.
    • Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
 
  • Process Excellence & Adoption
    • Maintain and enhance existing SAP functionality while introducing new features and integrations.
    • Ensure adoption (training, guides, super users), in coordination with change management and IT user committees.
    • Guide requesters toward best practices using proven processes supported by SAP.
 
  • Projects & Target Architecture
    • Lead projects while actively collaborating with clients, including testing, documentation, and user training.
 
  • Functional Support
    • Serve as a Level 1 or Level 2 support representative for SAP support requests related to the FICO module or any other requests where their expertise is required.

Qualifications:
 
  • Education & Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, accounting, information systems, or equivalent.
    • Plus: SAP, PMP/PMI, Scrum, or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years in business application management and process improvement.
    • Proven track record in SAP environments and multi-system integrations; participation in transformation programs.
    • Strong business and financial acumen, ability to balance stakeholder interests, effective communication, and strategic focus.
    • Experience in data-driven decision-making (BI/BW/BPC) and user adoption.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, keen business acumen, and proven ability to effectively articulate required business objectives
  • Key Skills
    • Departmental leadership and cross-functional influence; clear communication (end users, managers, and external vendors).
    • Technology: SAP FICO & business applications, integrations, conversions, reporting, and workflow.
    • Assets: Knowledge of SAP PS, SAP S/4, SAC, and other modules.
