Role
The Human Resources Director is responsible for achieving the hotel's administrative and HR objectives through daily interactions and communications with administration and hotel employees. The Human Resources Director assists the General Manager in administrative functions and hotel human resources management while adhering to standards set by RIMAP Hospitality Services.
Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager and other managers with human resources management, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, evaluations, assigned tasks, employee development, and training to maintain required expertise in each department.

Lead various projects related to hotel operations.

Draft, edit, and update job descriptions.

Post job openings on various job sites and manage applications.

Conduct phone and in-person interviews.

Draft employment contracts.
-
Handle new employee onboarding and orientation.

Distribute and control employee locker assignments.

Maintain up-to-date employee files.
-
Manage payroll and benefits processes in accordance with company policies and legislation.

Implement and monitor performance management processes.

Manage workplace accident files.
-
Draft disciplinary notices and attend employee meetings.

Master health and safety policies, procedures, and emergency protocols, ensuring their application; report irregularities or hazards immediately.

Constantly monitor hazardous or suspicious situations that could endanger guests or hotel staff and respond accordingly.

Understand, master, and ensure compliance with employment-related laws (LNT, LATMP, Labour Code, etc.) and the applicable collective agreement.

Participate in union meetings, including the health and safety committee.

Attend management team meetings.

Plan departmental meetings.

Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program.

Contribute to organizing social activities and internal publications.

Perform any other related duties.
Administrative Tasks

Manage mail: open, date, and distribute to relevant persons and departments.

Translate documents impeccably from French to English or English to French.

Control and distribute internal parking cards.

Maintain the up-to-date emergency contacts list.

Skills and Qualifications

Fluency in spoken and written French and English; knowledge of a third language is an asset.

Requirements

Diploma from a recognized college or university in hotel management, human resources, or a related field.

2 years of experience in a similar role or hotel management.
-
Experience in management and hospitality (an asset).
