We Are Hiring a Sommelier!

Ripplecove Hotel & Spa is seeking a passionate and experienced Sommelier to join our restaurant team and help create memorable dining experiences through exceptional wine service and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Guide guests in selecting wines and beverages that perfectly complement their meals, providing personalized recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine a diverse, balanced, and distinctive wine list tailored to a wide range of guests.
  • Stay informed about emerging wine and beverage trends, attend tastings, and introduce innovative new selections to the cellar.
  • Manage wine purchasing, inventory control, and cost management to ensure the profitability of the wine program.
  • Oversee all aspects of wine service, ensuring impeccable presentation, exceptional service standards, and outstanding guest relations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of service experience in a fine dining restaurant.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in purchasing and inventory management.
  • ASP Diploma in Sommellerie (or equivalent) from a recognized sommelier program.
  • Strong anticipation and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Professional appearance with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.
