Shellex Consulting Group is currently seeking a Process/Project Engineer for its Toronto office.

As we continue to expand, our Toronto office is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial minded Process/Project Engineer.
We are looking for an intermediate Process/Project Engineer to join a team of engineers providing multi-disciplined engineering designs to the industrial and commercial sectors. The Process/Project Engineer will be involved in projects related to both new and existing facilities. Our main sectors of service include chemical, manufacturing and beverages and spirits.

What You’ll Do at Shellex:
- Define scope, project objectives with clients and prepare proposals.
- Assist in process design, cost estimates and studies to meet client needs.
- Work with clients on technical requirements and project timelines.
- Produce project deliverables including scope definition, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations for mass and energy balances, heat transfer, pipe and pump sizing, and equipment sizing.
- Prepare equipment technical specifications and make recommendations and selections based on project requirements.
- Prepare specification and tender packages for vendors and contractor quotation.
- Review and approval of vendor shop drawings.
- Participate in PHA and HAZOP reviews.
- Work with CAD technicians to produce construction and installation drawing packages.
- Ensure all work performed complies with company procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Obtain vendor quotations and coordinate equipment procurement.
- Field work for commissioning and project support.
Qualifications required :
- University degree in Chemical Engineering and 5+ years demonstrated work experience in industrial process design and construction.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Office, Project)
- Experience with process simulation
- Understanding of instrumentation and PLC systems
- Driven self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and results-focused
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficiency in French an asset (but not required)
- Valid driver’s license
