Do you like precision? Are you thorough and eager to work with a team that isn't afraid to take on challenges?
Well, we need you at Scène Éthique. As a mechanical assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components according to technical drawings, assembly procedures, and current quality standards. You will play a key role in the manufacture of complex mechanical products, ensuring their proper functioning and compliance.
Scène Éthique invites you to take the stage and join us as a mechanical assembler.
For over 30 years, we have embodied innovation, quality, and sustainability in the performing arts world. Scène Éthique's mission is to provide cultural organizations here and abroad with innovative mechanical and structural designs.
Your responsibilities:
1- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and technical instructions.
2- Assemble mechanical parts using hand, power, or pneumatic tools.
3- Install finishing materials (wood flooring, aluminum edging, adhesive tape).
4- Verify the conformity of parts and assemblies (dimensions, adjustments, operation).
5- Make adjustments, drill holes, screw, and rivet.
6- Comply with safety instructions and quality procedures.
7- Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams.
8- Keep your workstation clean and organized.
9- Perform self-checks on the final result and complete inspection sheets.
What success looks like:
Within the first 6 months:
• You will be able to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings correctly.
• You will be able to assemble parts accurately and efficiently without constant supervision.
• You will be able to work on several types of products or assembly stations.
• You will show initiative by proactively suggesting improvements or reporting problems.
In the first year:
• You will be able to demonstrate increased versatility: you will work on several lines or types of products, sometimes in support of other teams.
• You will maintain a steady pace of work, with an excellent compliance rate.
• You will be able to manage your workstation independently and anticipate material requirements.
• You will be able to perform several finishing steps on different parts and ensure their overall quality.
You are the person we are looking for if:
• You have a high school diploma and training in mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
• You have experience in mechanical assembly (minimum 1 to 3 years).
• You are organized, independent, detail-oriented, resourceful, and versatile.
• You have a good understanding of technical drawings and mechanical tolerances.
• Team spirit and collaboration motivate you to accomplish your daily tasks.
• You have French comprehension (mandatory)
By joining Scène Éthique:
• You will be eligible for our range of benefits, including insurance (life, disability, health, dental), a group RRSP with employer contributions, a PAEF, and telemedicine.
• You will work with a young, close-knit, skilled, and passionate team that enjoys coming together to take on challenges, celebrate, and enjoy activities organized by our social committee.
