Early Childhood Educator (ECE), Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA), or an IT-focused Early Childhood Educator (ECE IT). The role involves providing high-quality care and education for children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Day-to-day tasks include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, toys, etc., observing and documenting children's development, and working collaboratively with families and staff.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, including with Supported Child Development
- BC Registered certification in Early Childhood Education, assistant, or infant/toddler
- Criminal record check clearance
- Experience working in childcare or educational settings is a plus
- First aid - childcare cpr (we will train if not certified when hiring)
Base Wage (increases with level of experience and certification)
- ECEA - $22/hour
- ECE - $28.50/hour
- ECE/IT/SNE - $29.50/hour
ECEs may qualify for our ECE Wage Subsidy from Columbia Basin Trust of an additional $2/hour.
