Mountain Child Early Learning & Care Centre, operated by Golden Community Resources Society, is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in Golden, British Columbia. This is a full-time opportunity to practice high-quality, play-based early learning in a supportive, values-driven environment.
We are looking for an ECE, with Infant/Toddler (IT) or Special Needs (SN) certification preferred, who is committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment for children from birth to 12 years. Our program is guided by the B.C. Early Learning Framework and emphasizes outdoor learning, social-emotional development, and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Key Responsibilities:

•Plan, organize, and implement engaging, emergent curriculum experiences for infants, toddlers, and young children.
•Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in compliance with the B.C. Child Care Licensing Regulation.
•Observe, document, assess, and support children's growth and development.
•Build strong, professional relationships with children, families, and team members, promoting mutual understanding and support.
•Promote an inclusive environment that honours diversity, cultural competence, and children's rights.
•Participate in team collaboration, centre operations, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

•Current Early Childhood Educator License to Practice (ECE) from the B.C. ECE Registry is mandatory.
•Infant/Toddler (IT) or Special Needs (SN) certification is a strong asset.
•Current Emergency Child Care First Aid certificate.
•Clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) clearance.
•Demonstrated knowledge of the B.C. Child Care Licensing Regulation.
